neurodiverz.xyz

neurodiverz.xyz is a project initiated by young adults. Its aim was to bring together a group of neurodivergent young people who, by sharing knowledge and experience, would create an information website for neurodivergent young adults who were diagnosed late or never.

Over the 12 months of the project a team of 25 people came together. Through ongoing online and in-person collaboration we explored the difficulties a neurodivergent person faces in Hungary. First, we looked at how a young person from a multiply disadvantaged background can (or cannot) obtain a diagnosis and appropriate professional support through the public healthcare system, and at the stigmas that can make it harder for a neurodivergent young adult to find their place in different communities.

The project resulted in a close-knit volunteer community and the first version of the planned website.
